Xan Tyler & Dusty Stray play songs from their recent chart topping album Home alongside songs from their solo albums.

Xan Tyler is based in Fife Scotland and Dusty Stray in Amsterdam which is what makes their debut collaboration Home all the more intriguing. How they were able to produce such an intimate record whilst recording their parts in their respective home studios and sound like they were side by side, is remarkable.

Home reached #8 in the Scottish Albums Chart in November and successful tour of both countries followed.

Home blends folk noir, art-rock, and Americana with understated experimental textures. Echoes of The Velvet Underground, Cowboy Junkies, and Leonard Cohen are present, but this duo carves out their own distinct sound.

Home is a collection of ten songs that explore the emotional terrain of endings and beginnings. Inspired by ideas of place, belonging, loss, and renewal, the album is as much about inner landscapes as physical relationships. It’s the kind of record that feels intimate from the first note — inviting comfort and familiarity to the listener. At the same time, Home smacks of the originality and freshness that happens when two seasoned solo artists create something together for the first time.

“Winsome and graceful, elevated by the satisfying clash of Stray's slightly weathered indie Americana tones with Tyler's dreamy croon. ****” The Scotsman, UK

“Xan and Dusty have the kind of vocal chemistry that can't be practiced; it's either there or it's not. Here it is, like with Lee and Nancy, Gram and Emmylou… their voices dance and flirt” **** De Volkskrant, The Netherlands

“Songs to blissfully dream away to.” New Folk Sounds, The Netherlands

“A beautiful album. Not many musicians dare to make an album like "Home," but Dusty Stray and Xan Tyler pull it off very successfully.” De Krenten Uit De Pop, The Netherlands

“Dual-vocal immersion melds with twangy guitars and light acoustics, for an enjoyably sincere sound with folk-rock vintage appeal." Obscure Sound, US

"There's a sincerity here that we've come to expect from the Dusty Stray sound. We really hope it gains the audience it deserves." Various Small Flames, UK
