The Bowie Contingent - A Moonage Daydream After-Party!

  • Sidney and Matilda 46 Sidney Street Sheffield, England, S1 4RH United Kingdom (map)

This year's Sheffield DocFest is to open with the UK premiere of Brett Morgen’s Bowie documentary 'Moonage Daydream' at Sheffield City Hall on Thu 23rd June.*

To mark this special event The Bowie Contingent will be hosting a special after-party, open to all, at Sidney & Matilda in Sheffield. The band will be performing live followed by DJs and projections.

*Following its world premiere at Cannes this will be the first public screening of the film before it's released in cinemas worldwide in September. DocFest’s Opening Night will take place at the 2,000 seat Sheffield City Hall - 50 years since David Bowie first played the historic music venue in June 1972. Moonage Daydream is the first film to be supported by the David Bowie Estate, which granted Morgen unprecedented access to their collection.

NOTE: This event is open to the general public and is not restricted to festival delegates or ticket holders. This event is not an official part of Sheffield DocFest but is being hosted by The Bowie Contingent.
