Steel Dancin 07: The Busy Twist, Oldboy, A for Alpha + lots more

We return to the wonderful venue that is Sidney & Matilda with an electric range of global dance music, garage, hard house, jungle, reggae (+ more) spread across three specially curated rooms. In addition, we'll have some live art and local stalls on the night in true Steel Dancin style.

The Busy Twist: 

A leading light in the new global dance underground, The Busy Twist effortlessly combines sounds from across globe, joining the dots between Afro, Latin and UK bass; a fun, fresh and sophisticated fusion that has taken him to play everywhere from Glastonbury to Nyege Nyege in Uganda, as well as releasing music on international labels like Jamz Supernova’s Future Bounce, Sony Colombia and Soundway Records.

Oldboy:

Hardly needing an introduction in Sheffield (but we'll give you one anyway), Oldboy is tearing it up in the scene right now with his unique sound of gritty and grimey garage, that is seeing him play at some of the hottest events right now and have mixes released on the likes of and have mixes on The Lot, Hor, and Rinse FM.

A for Alpha:

A For Alpha (real name Abby Gray), a luminary in electronic music, draws inspiration from the 90s underground scene, creating masterful sets that blend reworked classics with contemporary productions. Her diverse sound fuses elements from House, Garage, Trance, and Techno, offering a sonic journey that transcends genres.

Alongside our three headliners, we have a wonderful array of support, including none other than Slinki!
