After nearly two years without a Slambarz home show in Sheffield, we're back.
This time, we're linking up with Off the Shelf Festival of Words for a special collaboration celebrating the next wave of artists, lyricists and collectives coming through.
Our last home show saw us leave our mark at The Leadmill. Since then, we've been OUTSIDE, festivals, cyphers, collaborations, different cities and different stages, building our network and connecting with some serious talent along the way.
Now it's time to bring that energy back home.
The Next Wave is about putting new talent on stage, connecting scenes across cities and creating a space where emerging artists can perform alongside some of the artists and collectives already making noise.
We're opening the night with 5 of Sheffield's Next Wave artists, each getting one track to show us what they're on.
Then we're bringing some of the family we've met on the road to Sheffield:

Back Your Barz - London
Us Neva Dem- Manchester
Each collective gets 10-15 minutes. Their artists. Their sound. Their wave
And to close the show We cypher.
Artists from across the whole night come together, for one final cypher bringing Sheffield, Nottingham, London and Manchester into the same room.
Bars. Lyrics. New music. New faces. Different sounds. One room full of people who care about the scene.
